Check out the white
paper from www.littlewhitedog.com on how this is done.
- Right click on the desktop.
- From the pop-up menus choose "New" then choose "Shortcut".
- In the text box, type '\\grace'.
A shortcut to your home directory will appear on your Windows desktop. You can now "drag and drop" files you create in Windows, into your linux home or web directory. This is used often when developing web pages with Dreamweaver or Photoshop.
- SSH to grace.
- Type at the prompt, '/usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient \\\\calawah\\users3' (or users2,users5,users6)
- You will be prompted for your WINDOWS password.
Enter it and you are in.
This is really useful when you are at home. SSH into grace and go to it.
